Switch Four: 920 Medina Studios I

Nice, already got a kitchen. Reminder for next move: wait until morning. Not 2 AM.

The new apartment was already leagues better than his old one. Except for, you know, Ulises not being nearby any longer. It was roomy (ok, so maybe the bedrooms were roomy the main area was probably the same size). Best of all, it was quiet.

He also keeps getting tasks to do things with coworkers, but he doesn’t know any coworkers…

After crashing until late in the morning, Argus decided to work for some promotions. He had to watch funny videos for two hours-which was actually a lot harder than he thought it would be.

Also, these guys are all distantly related somehow. They came by the last name of Driftwood somehow! (There are so many Driftwood’s roaming about now…)

The neighbors came to meet him. He actually got along quite well with Davin here. They were all pretty nice.

Though his new apartment is a bit bare, he’s so much more comfortable that he starts getting some more promotions like crazy. It helps not having to repair everything constantly. And for all the talk about the place being haunted, he hasn’t seen one ghost, or even heard a single faint “wooOOooo”

It doesn’t take long before he’s able to purchase some more items. Of nicer quality than he’s owned so far. He’s developed the same food quirk as his mother, so it’s important that he be able to cook excellent meals.

He’s a fairly decent painter. It makes a nice chunk of extra change, but he isn’t getting rich off of it.

The day started off so well. He made some silly gummy bear pancakes, and was going to go see if he could meet some potential spouses, when he got word that one of his friends had passed.

After that, he was only in the mood to mope in his sadness. He painted sad paintings, blogged about his feelings, wrote in his journal, cried under the covers, and called everyone on his phone. By the end of the weekend he was feeling better, but it was too late to go out looking for a wife by then.

I’m hoping for Terri because she’s pretty. I’m hoping he find someone he has a spark with because I like Terri and want her to marry for love, not convenience.

He had to settle for looking after work, which only gave him a little bit of time. When he ran into Terri in the central plaza, they made a pact. If they got to the adult life stage with both of them still being single, they’d marry.

Rent is still a pretty big chunk of his savings. Even though he’s level 8 in his career, he did not pick the lucrative option by far. He went for the easy route.

Luckily, things like the Humor & Hijinx festival provide opportunities to increase his skills, make friends, meet potential future wives, and even make some money if they win!

With a face like that, how could the jokester’s lose?

He ran into his cousin, Krista. Devin only had the one child (she also married a member of Argus’s club, who is NOT the father)

Jokester’s totally won though

He meets lots of ladies. He even makes enough friends to almost complete the friends of the world aspiration (he just needs to max out charisma) but none of them really catch his eye.

Argus designed the place to have two bedroom’s-he had been expecting to already have a child at this point in his life-but the second one has been empty the whole time he’s been here. Maybe he should have just left it open for more living space…

Or he could have had a larger office. Though he doesn’t really need a bigger one, it’s just a computer and an easel.

More spouse-hunting! It looks like she’s already spoken for Argus.

His birthday is almost upon him and he’s still as single as ever. He’s started to give up looking-staying in and playing games is more appealing.

Wait, what’s this? A restaurant? That can only mean he’s meeting somebody!

Carley is a vendor who invited him out on a date. She’s also somehow related, with the last name of Driftwood, but it must be really distant.

He’s willing to ignore that, if this works out. It does seem to be going well. She’s an insider like him and they are able to talk easily.

Alas, it soon becomes apparent that she’s also materialistic and erratic. More important than either of those, which he could overlook, is the fact that she’s married.

Oh so close. Dunno if you should be friends with her now though…

At least they hadn’t started flirting before he found out. He politely excused himself from the date-he wasn’t out to break up marriages!

He’d decided against throwing himself a birthday party to go on that date too! Now he has to blow out the candles on his own. Terri was a bit younger than him, so he had time to move before seeing if she was still single and willing to keep the deal.

17000, a nice two bedroom apartment with a cozy office.

This apartment went fast! Also, I’m kind of worried on how long I’ve waited before having him have a heir. I really wanted him to find someone who he had a spark with, but he’s only really had that sort of interaction with Ulises-who hasn’t been around so that there weren’t any unwarranted flirting (I really do wish I had gotten those pictures the first time around. These two are really into each other). I hope him and Terri work out well…I hope Terri hasn’t gone and gotten hitched in the few days it took!
